Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Jan Rajchel, PhD

Head of the Governmental Strategic Reserves Agency (RARS)

Brig. Gen. res. pil. dr hab. inż. prof. ucz. Jan Rajchel is a graduate of the Higher Officers' Air School and a master class pilot. In 1994, he graduated from the National Defence Academy with a degree in Airborne Forces. In 1998, he obtained his doctorate in military science at the National Defence Academy. In 2003, he completed postgraduate studies in Aviation Management.
In 2007, he was assigned to the Air Force Command, where he was appointed Deputy Chief of Air Forces. From 2007 to 2016, he was the Rector-Commander of the Air Force Officers School in Dęblin. In 2013, he obtained a postdoctoral degree in social sciences in the discipline of political science at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin. He is currently a professor at the University of Siedlce. In July 2024, Jan Rajchel became president of the Government Strategic Reserve Agency.
He has been awarded, among others, the Golden Cross of Merit, the Air Cross of Merit, as well as
with departmental medals, the title and badge of Zasłużony Żołnierz RP and the honorary title of Zasłużony Pilot Wojskowy.
