Janice Zilch

Vice President and Site Leader Melbourne, Fla. Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems

Janice Zilch is the vice president and Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead of Multi Domain Command and Control (MDC2) within the Global Surveillance division and the Melbourne site leader for Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems, a premier provider of military aircraft, autonomous systems and next generation solutions.
In this role, Zilch oversees a portfolio of weapon systems that deliver premier airborne command and control and battle management capabilities essential to our national security to the Department of Defense. These systems include the total life cycle of the U.S. Navy’s
E-2D Advanced Hawkeye and Airborne Mine Counter Measures Systems, the TACAMO capture, and the U.S. Air Force’s E-8 Joint STARS. Zilch also provides executive leadership for the Melbourne site.
Zilch joined Northrop Grumman in 2015, where she took on roles of increasing responsibility. After serving as director of fleet sustainment with responsibility for all E-2C, E-2D and C-2 readiness activities, she served as deputy IPT leader for the MDC2 portfolio before being named its vice president.
She brings to Northrop Grumman extensive leadership experience from the Naval Air Systems
Command (NAVAIR), including program management and contracting positions. Zilch was
Principal Deputy Program Manager for Naval Air Traffic Management Systems, PMA-213,
responsible for the acquisition and engineering requirements for Air Traffic Control, Combat
ID and Precision Approach Landing Systems. Prior to that, Zilch served as PMA-231 E-2D
integrated program team lead from Systems Development and Demonstration to Full Rate Production.
Zilch holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Virginia Tech and a Master of Science in Contracts and Acquisition Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. She successfully completed the 2016 Program Management Conference, 2019 Executive Leadership Program and is a graduate of the Defense Acquisition University for PMT-401 and 402. Among her highest accomplishments, Zilch was awarded the Department of Navy Meritorious and Superior Civilian Service Awards and NAVAIR Commander’s Award – Program Management.
