Colonel Bogdan SOWA - appointed by the Minister of Defence to the position of Head of the Organisation and Complements Board - P1 of the General Staff of the Polish Army as of 29 March 2021. From 2011 to 2021, he held successive service positions in the Department of Human Resources of the Ministry of Defence, ending up as Head of the Department of Management Personnel. From 2001 to 2011, he held positions related to personnel management in the 1st Armoured Brigade in Wesoła and in the ICT Systems Management Centre. Whereas
in previous years he served in command positions in the 15th Mechanised Brigade in Giżycko and in the 4th Armoured Cavalry Brigade in Orzysz. Graduate of the T. Kosciuszko Higher School of Officers in Wroclaw, majoring in military command (engineer), Warsaw University of Technology, majoring in administration (master's degree)
and the Higher School of Economics in Warsaw majoring in human resources management (postgraduate studies). He also completed Postgraduate Studies in Defence Policy at the Academy of Military Art in 2023. His academic interests lie in the sciences of
security, in issues related in particular to military security and the management and planning of personnel resources of the Ministry of National Defence. He has taken part in drafting and giving opinions on executive acts to the act on defence of the homeland and personnel procedures for the needs of the Polish Armed Forces. He cooperates with the Military University of Technology and the Academy of Military Arts in the area of military didactics.
